Production Supvisor | Shift Leader
Mission: To coordinate the resources (People/Material/Machines) of the department on all shifts to deliver planned products on time in full, efficiently, at lowest cost, and within agreed specifications and Quality Standards. This should be done with the health & Safety of the team as a priority while challenging the team to achieve operational excellence in all we do. Key Responsibilities:
Planning
- Creation of the detailed weekly planning taking account of product or process limitations and optimizing efficient loading to ensure good product flow and use of resource.
- Ensure strong communication to both align the team to expectations and provide meaningful feedback to the team on recent performance.
- Maintain a Skills Matrix to track team skills and manage training needs to support team flexibility with structured, documented training & validation processes supporting effective completion.
Communication
- Ensure Process Performance recording and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are updated and analysed, with feedback & improvement opportunities identified and actioned.
- Provide regular individual performance feedback including annual performance reviews
- Support Daily Production Meetings – to ensure issues are known and priorities are clear
Development
- Support Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement activities
- Checking Process Instructions are clear, up-to-date, and completed (escalating to Quality or Production Engineering (OST) where support is needed).
Compliance
- Ensure security and product verification rules and protocols are followed, escalating any issues in a timely way.
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained, escalating any issues in a timely way.
- Manage holiday requests and absence to ensure correct levels of resources are maintained and the team is taking their holiday appropriately.
Your profile
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- People focused (coach, develop, encourage & disciplined)
- English & Dutch Speaking
- Safety, security & quality mind-set
- Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma preferred
- Problem solving tools (QRQC, 8D, 5Y, PFMEA, etc.) and analytical mind
- Competent in MS Office, especially (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
